MSP opens new homes development

A NEW housing development in Amulree Road, Perth, was officially opened by Roseanna Cunningham MSP last week.

The Servite Housing Association development consists of 18 properties made up of eight flats, four terraced villas and six semi-detached villas.

Roseanna Cunningham said: “Servite is a progressive housing association with a long record of providing high quality affordable housing for families, singles, the elderly and disabled people.

“This development provides a range of modern home types and the incorporation of solar panels is not just important environmentally, it will help to lower energy costs for the folk who will live here. With the way energy costs are soaring right now that is hugely important.”

Built next to the new Letham St Mark’s Church, and on the site of the old church, the development cost £2.1 million to build, £1.4 million of which was provided through a grant from the Scottish Government. The remainder was funded by Servite.
