TV LICENSING is urging both parents and students in Perth to swot up on the licensing requirements to ensure they don’t get hit with a hefty fine at the start of term.
TV Licensing research has shown that when it comes to bailing out their children financially, almost half ofparents (48%) would draw the lineat paying the fine if their childwas caught watching TV without alicence.
To help ensure the TV Licence does not slip off the “to-do list” in the run-up to the start of term, TV Licensinghas set up a handy pre-registration service, available from Thursday, August 14.
If students sign up online by visiting www.tvlicensing.co.uk/students2008 TV Licensing will get in touch once the autumn term has begun to remind them to buy a licence.
The website also features lots ofhelpful information about how to get a TV Licence and the different ways to pay.
