Appeal made to charities

AN appeal has gone out to all Big County charitable organisations to come up with some novel fundraising ideas for a special Charity Fair on Saturday, September 13.

The Rotary Club of Perth is behind the imaginative fundraiser and has arranged to hire the 30-plus stalls used for the Farmers Market.

While club members plan to use six stalls for their own fundraising activities on the day, they are keen to invite other charities to apply to take part.

Explained Harry Robertson, a member of the club’s fundraising committee: “We do not wish to open it to all-comers since we want a range of charities and a range of fund-raising activities to make the event as varied and interesting as possible.”
