‘Too hot’ for underpants

A 28-YEAR-OLD man who drove in a Perth city centre car park naked from the waist down has had his name added to the Sex Offenders’ Register.

Euan O’Brien, of Fernan, Balmoral Road, Blairgowrie, claimed he wasn’t wearing any trousers or underpants because it was hot.

But Sheriff Fiona Tait told him: “It seems to me that there is a significant sexual element to this.”

The 28-year-old labourer admitted the breach of peace which took place at the multi-storey car park in Mill Street, Perth, on May 4.

The court was told that another motorist had just parked his car and was making his way to the ticket machine when he spotted the scantily-clad O’Brien.

Sentence deferred until September 24 for background reports.
