Ex-Provost and wife are golden duo

FORMER Perth and Kinross Provost John Culliven and his wife, Sheila, celebrate their Golden Wedding tomorrow.

John and Sheila (nee MacKenzie) were married in St Mary’s RC Church in Inverness on August 23, 1958.

John was councillor on Perth and Kinross Council, representing the Highland Perthshire ward of Rannoch and Atholl, for many years and was Provost for three years from 1998. He retired from duties last year.

The couple live at Calvine and have four sons – Graham, Craig, Scott and Gavin – and five grandchildren.

John and Sheila renewed their vows on Sunday in St Brides RC Church, Pitlochry and were given a Blessing by their priest, Father Tobias Okoro.

Tomorrow they celebrate with family and friends at home.
