Massive show of strength at Crieff’s time honoured event

THE crowds at Crieff Highland Gathering were entertained to an action packed programme on Sunday. Former rugby internationalist John Beattie made an excellent Chieftain taking his turn on the microphone to encourage the audience to get behind the many competitors in the arena at Market Park.

It was the 50th Crieff Gathering for chief judge and veteran games man Bill Anderson, who as ever was in top form.

And Gregor Edmunds was Champion for the fourth year running in the caber tossing.
