AN AUCTION of Scottish and sporting art at Gleneagles Hotel has raised close to £5million.
Among the highlights of the Sotheby’s collection was Sir John Lavery’s “My Studio Door,” which sold for £481,250.
Sotheby’s senior director and head of Scottish pictures, Andre Zlattinger, said: “I’m very encouraged by the results of the sale.
“Strong prices were achieved in all areas and movements of the Scottish market.”
