BIG County drinkers could be targeted in a fake vodka scam.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued a nationwide warning about counterfeit vodka which contains excessive levels of methanol.
Counterfeit Spar brand Imperial Vodka (70cl) has been discovered in the Northumberland and North London areas. There have been no reports of this product being found in Perth and Kinross so far.
The FSA says the levels of methanol found in the counterfeit product could cause a health risk if consumed.
Should any bottles of counterfeit Spar Imperial Vodka be identified by shopkeepers or members of the public, it should immediately be reported to Perth & Kinross Council's Environment Service on 01738 476476.
