Pensioner’s purse stolen

AN 86-year-old woman has been left distraught after her purse was stolen as she shopped at Perth’s Morrisons’ supermarket on Sunday.

As well as cash, the purse contained sentimental items – of no monetary value, but which can never be replaced. It was stolen sometime between 2.25pm and 3.15pm.

AN ELDERLY couple were caught unawares when a man wandered into their home on Perth’s Burghmuir Road on Tuesday.

At 10.20 in the morning the man sneaked in the back door to have a root around their home. A neighbour spotted him running off towards Lawers Place. The man is described as aged around 31, of stocky build, short black hair, wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans. He has a tattooed right arm.

A CHURCH in Perth was broken into on Saturday and various alter items stolen.

Sometime between 1pm and 4.45pm a man entered St John’s Church on Melville Street and stole a bowl, candles and table cloth. He is described as aged between 20 and 40 and had a skin head.

HILLWALKERS had their car broken into between 2.15pm and 5.45pm at a car park at Ben Lawers Mountain Visitor Centre on Sunday.

Two handbags and their contents were stolen from the silver Ford Focus, as well as clothes.

Anyone who was at the visitor centre on Sunday afternoon and saw anything is urged to contact police.

A WEDDING photographer had his digital camera stolen at an event at Fingask Castle between 10pm and 11pm on Sunday.

A BMX was stolen at St Catherine’s Retail Park, Perth, sometime between 5pm and 5.15pm on Sunday.

The blue-coloured Nova BMX, fitted with stunt pegs, was taken from outside PC World.

A BRAND new £270 mountain bike was stolen from a garden shed on Perth’s Kings Street earlier this week. It’s a red, white and silver Mountain Ridge Charger.

OVER £100 of copper was stolen from a plumber’s van parked on Perth’s Cragganmore Place overnight from Monday into Tuesday.
