POLICE are using tough tactics in a street crime crackdown in Perth’s city centre.
The Fair City has long been named as one of the safest communities in Scotland, a record Inspector Dave Barclay – the senior officer in charge of the area – is proud of. But he stressed there is still work to be done.
“We are there 24-seven,” explained Inspector Barclay. “We are giving the town centre a lot of attention.”
He continued: “We have a town centre policing plan. We have our finger on the pulse for that area and work hard to keep it safe,” the senior officer added.
