Perth 2008 shoebox appeal

THE Perth 2008 Shoe Box Appeal will be launched tomorrow (Saturday) with a coffee morning in the North Church Halls from 10–11.45am. Tickets for adults £1.50 and children 70p.

There will be cake and candy, books and toys stalls with pre-wrapped shoe boxes also available for a donation.

It is hoped that the people of Perth will again give their support to this appeal with 5,628 shoe boxes full of gifts going to help children, teenagers and adults in Romania last Christmas.

If you wish more information about the local Blythswood Shoe Box Appeal come along tomorrow morning or contact the Perth Support Group Co-ordinator Dennis Brown, tel 01738 629571.

Pre-wrapped shoe boxes will be available from Monday, September 29, in the North Church Office, 10am–noon and from the Open Door Cafe from 2–4pm, Monday to Friday, also on a Sunday morning before and after both church services.

Because of limited storage space please do not deliver filled shoe boxes to the North Church before Sunday, October 19, and bulk deliveries during the week starting November 3, ready for the Custom Checking on Saturday, November 8.
