Perth police hunting suspicious man

POLICE are investigating reports of a man acting suspiciously near Perth’s St Ninian’s primary school playground at lunchtime on Tuesday.

At 12.55 children told the headteacher a man was taking photographs of youngsters playing.

He has been described as aged 20-30, wearing a red baseball cap, dark blue ‘Lonsdale’ top with white stripes down the sleeves, blue jeans and brown leather shoes.

A spokesperson for Perth and Kinross Council said: “We can confirm that some children in the playground spotted a male taking photographs of pupils on Tuesday. He was accompanied by another male and a female. The children immediately alerted school staff. The headteacher called the police and also informed the council's Child Protection Team.

“We understand police are investigating the incident.”
