PERTH: Dunkeld Road and St Catherine’s Road

DUNKELD Road and St Catherine’s Road in Perth will be closed to evening traffic during a period in October so that resurfacing can be carried out.

The road will be closed between 7pm-7am each day from Monday, October 6 for a maximum period of three weeks. Traffic will be prohibited on the stretch of Dunkeld Road from its junction with Crieff Road to its junction with Barrack Street.

St Catherine’s Road will be closed from its junction with Dunkeld Road for a distance of 60 metres westwards.

Pedestrian and vehicular access to premises will be maintained. Residents whose access will be affected by the works have been informed by letter.

1 Crieff Road – Feus Road – Long Causeway – Caledonian Road – Barrack Street. 2 St Catherine’s Road – Long Causeway – Caledonian Road – Barrack Street.

PERTH: Friarton BridgeSlip Road

A SPOKESWOMAN for road maintenance agency Bear Scotland assured motorists yesterday that Friarton Bridge remains unaffected by current operations.

According to Bear, no restrictions are being placed on traffic using the bridge due to essential resurfacing on the M90 near Perth at the Craigend interchange (junction 10).

“For the duration of the works the slip road from the south end of Friarton Bridge to the Perth southern bypass will be closed,” said the spokeswoman yesterday.

“Motorists will be diverted via Junction 9, Bridge of Earn. Temporary traffic signals will be in operation at peak times at the A912, Bridge of Earn to assist the flow of traffic from the M90.”
