Perth firms on the FTSE

PERTH is again home to two prestigious FTSE top 100 companies.

Transport giant Stagecoach has bounced back into the list, joining Scottish and Southern Energy.

A Stagecoach Group spokesman said: “The company is performing very well, although it is worth pointing out that the make-up of the FTSE100 is determined by a range of factors.

“We remain focused on giving our customers the best service we can and attracting more people to the benefits of greener, smarter bus and rail travel.”
