BIG County businessman Simon Howie is through to the Scottish final of a major entrepreneurial challenge – and could land a £5 million interest free loan for a three year period.
He founded Shore Laminates in 1991, making and selling shower panels to the public and construction industry.
Among the company’s many projects was one to fit-out washroomsat New York’s Museum of Modern Art.
Five businesses have reached the final of the Bank of Scotland Corporate £35 million Entrepreneur Challenge 2008.
Judging takes place this week and on Friday the Scottish winner will be unveiled at a gala event being held in Stirling Castle’s magnificent 13th century Great Hall.
Dunning-based Mr Howie, well-known on the Scottish dance band scene, has nurtured an array of business interests, including his award-winning butchery.
The Scottish finalists are jousting for a place in the Bank of Scotland Corporate’s UK finals.
