SIXTEEN Fair City taxi drivers, who are keen to promote Perth city centre as a friendly place to visit, are taking part in a new customer care course.
The course will teach the drivers how they can use good customer relations in their jobs inorder to enhance the service they provide and encourage people to revisit Perth.
Ian Campbell, from Perth City Centre Management said: “Taxi drivers are the first point of contact for thousands of visitors to Perth. This experience will be a focal point for visitors and this scheme will help us ensure it is one they enjoy so they return again”.
Henry Adamson, Chairman of Perth Taxi Forum added: “We welcome the opportunity this course gives our members. This nationally recognised course, which leads to a certificate, will show visitors and the public of our Fair City that the local taxi trade is a professional body of people giving a high standard service.”
The course is a partnership initiative developed between Perth City Centre Management, Perth Taxi Forum and Perth College. The course induction took place on Tuesday.
