Online jobs site success

A NEW council recruitment process has been hailed a success by Perth and Kinross Council leader Ian Miller.

The council has been using the Scottish Recruitment portal since August 5 this year and since then has advertised a total of 448 jobs.

A total of 5157 applications have been received, with 4987 online and 170 paper applications.

Since August, the number of applications online has risen from 85% to 96%.

The main launch of the website, myjobscotland.gov.uk, took place on November 5, with an advertising and media campaign involving posters, newspaper, radio and other online advertising.
