Remanded in custody

A PERTH man and woman appeared in private at the Sheriff Court this week on drugs charges.

In the dock were 43-year-old David Malcolm Hay and Karen Chalk (29), both of St Andrew Street.

It is alleged that between November 25 and December 2, at their flat, they were concerned in the supply of the Class A drug heroin and dihydrocodine, a Class C substance.

Hay has also been charged with obstructing two detective constables by attempting to swallow an unknown substance or object.

A fourth charge against him alleges that he had cannabis resin in his possession.

Both made no plea and their cases were continued for further inquiries.

They were both remanded in custody after their bail applications were rejected.
