A DRUNKEN motorist smashed into two parked cars in the Fairfield area of Perth.
And after getting out and surveying the damage, Duncan McPhee got back into his van and drove off.
But he didn’t get far, Perth Sheriff Court was told this week.
For police pulled him over in nearby Crieff Road – and discovered he had been driving with more than twice the legal alcohol limit.
McPhee (22), of High Street, Kinross, was fined £600 and disqualified for 15 months.
But if he successfully completes a drink/drive rehabilitation course, he will get his ban cut by a quarter.
He pled guilty to driving with 74mics. of alcohol in Tulloch Road, Perth, on November 29 – and then failing to stop and give his name and address.
Solicitor Paul Ralph said that McPhee had been out earlier that evening, returned home and had an argument with his wife.
He then left the house and got behind the wheel.
In addition to the damage to the other vehicles, the accused’s van was also extensively damaged.
