Warden knocked out in street attack

A COMMUNITY warden was assaulted and knocked unconscious in Letham on Wednesday afternoon.

One of the council’s wardens was taken to hospital after being attacked at around 4.20pm on Wednesday.

The warden was walking past the rear of the shops on Rannoch Road when he was struck on the head from behind.

The victim fell to the ground and was rendered unconscious for a short time. He was taken to PRI to be checked by medics.

Police are keen to track down the attacker ,who has been described as a man aged between 30 and 40, 5’8” tall, of medium build with blonde, shoulder-length hair and was wearing a green parka jacket and blue jeans.
