Baseball bat attack denied

A POLISH national denied attacking another man with a baseball bat when he appeared at Perth Sheriff Court.

Tomasz Kowalski (24), of South William Street, Perth, will return to court for trial on April 6.

He had a preliminary hearing fixed for March 12.

It is alleged that on December 19, at 59 Scott Street, Perth, he struck Wojtek Samerek on the head with the bat, to his injury.

He also denied having an offensive weapon in his possession.

Kowalski was freed on bail but two special conditions were imposed.

He has been banned from entering the close at 59 Scott Street and from contacting the alleged victim in any way.
