Crowds at Bible class

RECORD numbers attended a new year’s Bible school in Perth, it was revealed yesterday.

Nearly 150 people from across Scotland took part in an event led by Reverend Duncan Macleod at the new National Christian Outreach Centre in Riggs Road.

Senior Pastor Mervyn Milne from school organisers People With A Mission Ministries said those attending were keen to hear God’s advice on how to pray.

“All too often we spend our time trying to think of ways that we can change the world when what we really need to think about is how God wants the world changed,” said Pastor Milne yesterday.

“We believe that God created the world and knows exactly what is happening in our nation, politically, economically, socially and morally.

“Our school teaches Christians about how the New Testament church changed the world through prayer and action as a result of prayer.

“The impact of these changes has been seen down through the generations and is still being seen today here in Scotland.”
