Gaza appeal is ‘fantastic’

PERTH MSP Roseanna Cunningham has described the local response to a Gaza appeal as “absolutely fantastic”.

After writing to pharmacies, GP surgeries and hospitals in her constituency following the recent flare-up of the conflict in the Middle East, Ms Cunningham gave her backing to a medical convoy being organised by Scottish charity Edinburgh Direct Aid.

Commenting on the feedback yesterday, Roseanna said: “There has been an absolutely fantastic response to my letter to GPs and pharmacies.

“Two GP practices were on the phone to my office almost as soon as the letter was delivered to say that they would send their surplus medicines and medical supplies.

“Other offers of support continue to come in, I am delighted with the support this appeal has received from the Perthshire medical community.”
