Saints in the pink for Ribbon Walk

ST JOHNSTONE players have thrown their weight behind Breast Cancer Care’s Ribbon Walk.

Saints manager Derek McInnes and title-winning players Stuart McCaffrey and Jody Morris dressed in pink and joined Dulce Roughsedge, of Breast Cancer Care, and Karin Ferguson, secretary to the Saints managing director, for a walk round McDiarmid Park to flag-up Breast Cancer Care's Ribbon Walk on June 13 at Scone Palace.

It is a day of fun, camaraderie and achievement, with hundreds of men and woman set to take part.

Hundreds of walkers have now signed up for the Scone event, including TV personality Kaye Adams.

She previously told the PA: “Like so many of us, I have friends who have been affected by breast cancer.

“Every penny raised will go towards raising funds for Breast Cancer Care Scotland – surely a fantastic reason to take part. I hope to see you there!”

The route will take walkers through some of the Perthshire’s most dramatic locations, beautiful national trails and picturesque villages. Walkers can choose from either a 10-mile or a 20-mile route.

Participants are encouraged to raise £250-plus sponsorship.
