Woman embezzled £90,000

A PERTH woman pocketed almost £90,000 from the building society where she worked over a near five-year period, the Sheriff Court was told yesterday.

Background reports have been ordered on 57-year-old Jennifer Dobie, of Cara Place, North Muirton, and she will be sentenced on June 17.

She pled guilty to embezzling £89,000 from the branch of the Dunfermline Building Society in Perth while she was employed as a customer adviser.

The offence took place between January 14, 2000, and November 30, 2005.

Full details of her breach of trust will be given when she returns to court next month.
