STAFF from the Kenmore Hotel in Highland Perthshire have presented CHAS with a cheque over £14,000.
Malcolm Flinn, Andrew Flinn and Kirsty Gowans presented Jon Heggie from CHAS with £14,147.66 raised from an auction held at the hotel in January.
The auction was part of the celebrations for the opening of the salmon fishing season on the River Tay where CHAS was selected as the charity to be supported.
Jon Heggie, regional fundraising manager for CHAS, said: “We are absolutely delighted to receive this money, which will be a great help in enabling us to support the children, young people and families across Scotland who use our services.
“I would like to thank both the Kenmore Hotel and everyone who helped raise such a large amount of money – a truly wonderful catch for CHAS.”
The Kenmore Hotel will continue to support CHAS at their salmon season closing ceremony this autumn and again at the beginning of the 2010 salmon fishing season.
