THE theft of perfume, valued at over £150 from a Perth department store, cost a local man a £200 fine at the Sheriff Court.
David Sheehan (22), of Mill Street, admitted stealing four bottles of fragrance from Debenhams in the High Street on September 3. The perfume, worth £151.50, wasn’t recovered.
Solicitor David Holmes said the accused owed money and that person had been pursuing him for it in a threatening manner.
Sheehan gained nothing personally from the shoplifting offence.
