Accident kills farmer (80)

A FUNERAL service for Perthshire farmer Peter Drysdale, who was killed in a tragic work accident, takes place tomorrow.

It is understood Mr Drysdale (80) sustained fatal crush injuries from the hydraulic tailgate on his trailer while he sweeping out the vehicle at Balbeathie Farm, near Dunkeld.

A report on the circumstances surrounding the great-grandfather’s death last Tuesday morning will go to the procurator fiscal in Perth.

Meanwhile, tomorrow’s service at Caputh Church starts at 1pm.
