LOCAL politicians John Swinney and Pete Wishart have heaped praise on a new community craft shop near Dunkeld that caters for adults with learning difficulties.
Between six and eight residents at the Camphill Corbenic Community carry out activities such as weaving, felting, papiér mâché, mosaic, silk painting and willow work.
Mr Swinney said: “The work is not only therapeutic, but also provides the residents with opportunities to develop both their motor skills and hand eye co-ordination.
Mr Wishart added: “I’m sure that the improved facilities represented by these new workshops will be greatly welcomed by the residents, volunteers and staff.’’
