Perth driver (20) faces a trio of motoring charges

A PERTH man faced three motoring charges at the Sheriff Court this week, including dangerous driving and failing to stop after a crash.

Lee Jensen (20), of Southern Cottage, had his case continued without plea until October 13.

It is alleged that he drove a car dangerously on July 13, on the A93 Blairgowrie-Perth Road, between the unclassified road leading to Stobhall Castle and the junction leading to Stormontfield.

It is alleged that he overtook vehicles at excessive speed, on the approach to blind corners, ignored carriageway markings and crossed solid white lines.

The charge then alleges that he entered oncoming lanes, caused his car to leave the carriageway, mount a verge and overturn.

It is alleged that passenger Scott Smith and Jensen were both injured and the car was damaged.

A second charge alleges that he failed to stop after the accident and give his name and address and that he failed to report it to the police within 24 hours.
