FRIARTON Bridge is to benefit from a £76,000 programme of maintenance starting tonight.
The Transport Scotland funded works will be carried out over two consecutive weekends, starting today.
Work will take place on the southbound side of the M90 bridge from 7.30pm tonight until 6.30am on Monday, and similarly on the northbound side of the bridge from 7.30pm on Friday, October 9 to 6.30am on Monday, October 12.
A contra-flow will be in place during both weekends with one lane in operation for each direction of traffic. A speed limit of 50mph will be in place for the safety of road workers and motorists.
The works will be undertaken by BEAR Scotland, and have been planned in consultation with Perth and Kinross Council and Tayside Police.
