EMILY Justice, the Secretary of the Friends of Pskov, recently returned from a trip to Perth’s Russian twin town. Emily, a Russian speaker, was there to discuss rejuvenation of the links between Perth and Pskov.
She met with the Provost and Cllr Sandy Miller (convener of the Friends of Pskov) to discuss her visit and to present a report to the Provost on possible ways to strengthen economic, cultural and sporting links, as well as forging links between the young people of both towns.
The Provost has been invited to visit Pskov next April, and he hopes to make the visit to discuss how these issues can be taken forward for the benefit of both towns.
