Ellen McBride and Alex Harrison before the unusual wedding
A LOVED-UP Aberfeldy couple quite literally took the plunge on Sunday in one of Scotland’s most unusual wedding ceremonies.
High ropes specialist Alex Harrison and his bride Ellen McBride swapped vows 150ft off the ground while abseiling off the Forth Rail Bridge as part of a Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland fund-raiser.
The happy couple were joined by bridesmaid Karen Dunbar, best man Ray Will and daredevil Aberfeldy minister Mark Drane, as they took the leap into marriage cheered on by friends and family in South Queensferry.
Alex and Ellen held their reception at Castle Menzies, near Aberfeldy.
