Jack Kelly and Clive Price set for the Malt House

WELL-KNOWN Perth musicians Jack Kelly and Clive Price (right) are set to play on home turf this weekend.

The duo, who are collectively known as Bright Lights, will be bringing their acoustic brand of traditional and contemporary folk to the Malt House on Saturday.

Jack and Clive have been working in tandem for the past six months and have packed in a fair few gigs in and around Perthshire in their short time together.

Guitarist and five-string banjo player Jack told Music Scene the pair are planning a lively evening’s entertainment for listeners at the Princes Street venue.

“The folk-based set Clive and I have put together is in turn fast and furious, but can also be thoughtful and heartfelt, and contains some blues and country in the mix,” he said.

“The combination of instruments - guitar, mandola and citern - works really well and produces a full and complimentary sound.

“We’re looking forward to playing the Malt House, and we think it is set to become a great music venue right here in Perth.”

Kick-off time on Saturday is 8pm and entry is free.
