Perth carer who stole hundreds to be sentenced

BACKGROUND reports have been ordered on a Perth carer who stole hundreds of pounds at two local post offices.

Lynn Connan will be sentenced at the Sheriff Court on November 11 after social inquiry and community service reports have been prepared.

She admitted that between October 2 and November 2 last year, at Letham Post Office – and at a house in Rannoch Road – she stole £328.60p.

She also admitted a second charge of stealing £70 at the main post office in the city’s South Street on October 14.

A not guilty plea to stealing £160 from the South Street PO on October 11 was accepted by the prosecution.

The court was told that the accused was a carer for a woman who lived in Rannoch Road and she helped her withdraw cash and do her shopping.

Full details of the offences will be given next month.
