Scone Palace to host to Galloway Antiques Fair

GALLOWAY Antiques Fairs holds its Scone Palace Antiques Fair this weekend.

Scone Palace remains a firm favourite with Richard and Susan Galloway and with the 40 dealers who will be travelling from across the UK to exhibit there.

The fair offers an eclectic mix of antiques and decorative works of art, including silver, porcelain and pottery, jewellery, clocks, furniture, books, angling antiques, pictures and oriental rugs and carpets.

Two dealers making their debut at Scone Palace are Melody Antiques, travelling from Cheshire with a selection of oak country furniture, and Olde Time Antique Clocks from Norfolk, which will offer a selection of longcase, bracket, wall and carriage clocks as well as barometers and barographs.

Among the Scottish dealers are Cathedral Antiques of Fortrose, Highland Antiques from Aberdeen, Hilary Farquharson of Angus, Koos Limburg from Angus, Kilmalcolm of Renfrewshire, Barclay Antiques of Edinburgh, David Rogers from Aberdeen and local dealers Inchmartine Antiques.

Others exhibiting include S and A Marsh of Surrey, Trivette of Hampshire, Bottlebrook Antiques of Derbyshire, Mark and David Buckely Antiques of West Yorkshire, Patricia Markbride of Bath, Amelie and Melanie Caswell of Bristol, John Watson from Winchester, Markov of London and Jack Shaw and Co. from Ilkley, West Yorkshire.

The scone palace antiques fair is open Friday-Sunday, 10.30am to 5pm (4.30pm finish on Sunday), and admission is £4.
