Bridge of Earn mountaineer on Morrocan adventure for CHAS

BRAVE-HEARTED Bridge of Earn mountaineer Jalal al Ibrahimi  has completed the first stage of his epic charity adventure.

Jalal (picture above, right), who works at Murrayshall House Hotel, returned to his native Morocco late last month to climb the Jebel Toubkal – part of the Atlas mountains.

As well as completing the 4167-metre North African trek, he also plans to journey to Tanzania in February and take on Mount Kilimanjaro, the largest free-standing mountain in the world.

Generous Jalal is hoping to raise a whopping £10,000 for the Rachel House children’s hospice in Kinross, operated by the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS).

He said: “It was very enjoyable and meeting the Berbers in the remote areas of the Atlas mountains is something I will remember for the rest of my life – I wish I could have stayed longer.”

To donate to Jalal’s journey, visit his dedicated website, which can be found by logging on to: www.alibrahimi.webs.com, and follow the links to his on-line sponsorship form.
