Auchterarder pair banned from shop for assault

A STRATHEARN man and woman have been banned from a local shop until after their trial on a total of seven charges, which include assault, breach of the peace and resisting arrest.

Lauren Parr (17) and 37-year-old Daniel Parr, both of Elmvale, Auchterarder, stand trial at Perth Sheriff Court on February 18.

They had a preliminary hearing set for January 21.

They were both freed on bail but a special condition was imposed, barring them from the Turkish Kebab shop in the Lang Toon.

Daniel Parr denied assaulting Wayne Johnston in the premises on October 18. He is then alleged to have attempted to rescue Lauren Parr from police custody by grabbing a police sergeant by the shoulder and attempting to pull him away from her.

Lauren Parr also pled not guilty to assaulting Lucy Muskett in the shop by kicking her on the leg.

Daniel Parr also denied resisting arrest in High Street. Lauren Parr also faced further charges of assaulting Leanne Stevenson and committing a breach of the peace by banging on a shop window.

A final charge alleges that she resisted arrest by lashing out with her arms and legs.
