Digital switchover advice for Perthshire residents

EXPERTS are set to visit Perthshire as part of a national drive to boost awareness of the impending switch to digital television.

Digital UK, the independent organisation leading digital switchover, is holding a series of events giving viewers advice on the various ways they can embrace the new technology.

Representatives and local councillors will attend two meetings.

One is on Thursday at the Bridge of Earn Institute between 11am and 6pm and the other is being held at St Serf's Church in Almondbank. That’s on from 6pm until 9pm.

Households in the Almond and Earn wards are served by the Perth transmitter, which will start to switch to digital on August 4 next year.
