Final push for 2009 Perth's Silent Auction

AS Perth’s 2009 Silent Auction reaches its much anticipated climax tomorrow evening (Saturday), there’s still time left for PA readers to bid for one of almost 300 fantastic Lots.

PA Editor, Alison Lowson said: “Bidding couldn’t be easier! Just logon to www.perthrotary.net and follow the Silent Auction link on the home page.

“If you don’t have access to a computer, we have a special hotline number (07503 957418), or you can pop down to Perth Concert Hall Foyer tomorrow and place your bid in person with one of the Silent Auction team - see pages 35, 36 and 37 of today’s PA for more information.”

This year’s popular fund-raiser – run jointly by the Perthshire Advertiser and Perth Rotary Club – has received generous backing from the Big County business community and beyond.

Alison Lowson added: “If you are on the hunt for that special Christmas present, then take a look at our Bid Board in today’s PA or online at perthrotary.net

“Up for grabs are everything from a pepper white BMW Mini First, donated by Colin Grassick, to a night at the theatre in Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber’s very own seats no less!

“However, I’ve got my eye on the hair and beauty make-over package from Charlie Taylor – just the thing in the run-up to the Christmas party season.

“I’d also like to thank everyone who has donated a lot and all the PA readers who have been bidding on line. The Bid Board is already standing at £17k, which is fantastic.”

Three charities

Proceeds from this year’s Silent Auction are going to three great local charities – The Black Watch Heritage Appeal, The Cornhill Macmillan Centre at PRI and Rotary Charities.
