A 35-YEAR-OLD Perth man made a brief appearance in private at the Sheriff Court this week, charged with scarring another man for life by slashing him across the face with a Stanley knife.
The attack is alleged to have taken place in the Mallard Bar, Argyll Road, North Muirton, Perth, on November 27.
Allan Stuart Macmillan, of May Place, made no plea and his case was continued for further inquiries.
It is alleged that he struck Drew Russell Paterson in the bar by striking him on the face, to his severe injury and permanent disfigurement.
A second charge alleges that he was in possession of an offensive weapon.
Represented by Perth solicitor Billy Somerville, the accused was freed on bail but special conditions were imposed.
He has been banned from the bar and ordered not to approach the alleged victim.
