Perth 800 floral tribute for sale

PERTH enjoys a blooming marvellous reputation on the national and European stage.

Now, the Perth 800 celebrations have come up smelling of roses with the unveiling of a special bouquet.

The exclusive floral arrangement has been designed by the team at the Fair City’s Lorna Davies Florist.

“I wanted to get involved and help promote Perth 800,” explained partner Lorna.

“So I thought, why not create a unique collection of flowers to celebrate the year and help support Perth’s bid for city status.”

The bouquet features all the colours from the Perth 800 logo and will be available throughout 2010.

Provost John Hulbert said: “One of the aims of Perth 800 is to boost the local economy and so I'm delighted that this local company has embraced this idea and got right behind it.

“Their innovative enterprise will really help to complement the official Perth 800 programme. I would urge any other local businesses who want to get involved to contact us to discuss their ideas.”

Ten per cent of proceeds from the bouquet will go to charities Macmillan and Sense Scotland.
