A RESIDENTS’ newsletter is seeking opinions on controversial supermarket proposals for a site on the edge of Scone.
Perth and Kinross Council’s development control committee has already approved plans in-principle for a new 3500 square metre store at the current park and ride facility.
But now the Destiny newsletter published by the recently formed Scone Village Association is inviting villagers for their views.
The question residents are being invited to answer is simple: “Are you for or against a new supermarket in Scone?”
The association believes it’s an important issue for the future of the village.
“This is not a foolproof scheme but would seem a good opportunity to see if there is genuine concern in Scone on both sides of the argument – or is there just sheer apathy?” said an association spokesman.
