T in the Park license to be considered

ORGANISERS behind T in the Park will find out today if this year’s music extravaganza has been given the official green-light.

A special meeting of Perth and Kinross Council’s licensing board will meet to decide whether or not to grant festival organisers DF Concerts the relevant paperwork.

A recently-released report details that up to 85,000 ticket-holders will be allowed access to the main arena at one time.

But taking into account the various artists – such as indie chart-toppers Kasabian – and crew, the actual figure will be just over 92,000 during the event, from July 9 to 11 at Balado.

The application for a three-year public entertainment licence is being recommended for approval.
