Prison officer appears at Perth Sheriff Court over sex act at window

A WOMAN was shocked when she spotted a prison officer pleasuring himself at his Kinross living room window.

The police were alerted and it led to Alan Wilson (51), formerly of Montgomery Way, appearing in the dock at Perth Sheriff Court yesterday.

Depute fiscal Robbie Brown said that the woman initially saw the accused standing at his window as she left for work at 7am – and it was clear that Wilson had seen her.

Initially he was staring at her but then she turned away to drive off to work.

She looked in her rear view mirror and then saw him performing the act – in full view at the window.

Solicitor Callum Anderson said the accused, who was in full-time employment with the English Prison Service, previously stayed in Kinross with his wife and family.

Since then he had sold the house and they had moved to a rented property in Dunfermline.

The fiscal said that after failing to sleep, Wilson had got up around 6.15am and had gone downstairs.

He was wearing his housecoat, and had a coffee and a cigarette. As he watched television, he stroked his genitals and then went to the window.

“He recognises anyone in the street was able to see him as the light was on inside and it was dark outside,” added Mr Anderson.

Sentence on the accused was deferred until March 24 to obtain social inquiry and community service reports, as well as a report from the Tay Project which aims to rehabilitate sex offenders.

Wilson faces having his name added to the Sex Offenders’ Register when he is sentenced.
