Kinross group raise £10,000 for charity after Mongol Rally

GUNG-HO Kinross adventurers raised more than £10,000 for charity by tackling the famous Mongol Rally.

Now, Nuts ‘n Boltz team supporters and sponsors can share in the excitement on Saturday at Kinross Rugby Club as Chris Carragher and his pals reflect on their road to Ulan Bator. It starts at 7.30pm.

A DVD has been put together on the trip, featuring a mix of video diaries and photographs from the road trip.

Chris was joined on the 756-hour, 9804-mile challenge by Cameron Crawford, Mark Harvey, Duncan Wood, Ian Harley and Liam Carragher, the university student responsible for the DVD.

Chris said: “The end product is something for each of us ralliers to savour for many years to come as we tell tales of our adventure.”

The rally boys were delighted to beat their initial £8500 charity target in the current economic climate and thanked everyone who backed them.

Charities boosted were Mercy Corps, Christina Noble Children’s Foundation and CHAS.
