Addict jailed at Perth Sheriff Court

A PERTH drug addict has been jailed for eight months after being found guilty of supplying heroin.

Ryan Stewart (24), of Knowehead Road, admitted the offence at Perth Sheriff Court this week.

Depute fiscal Julie McAra said police raided Stewart’s home address on January 26 and retrieved six bags of the Class A drug, worth £10 each.

Ms McAra continued: “When interviewed, he stated the ‘wraps’ belonged to him and were for his own use.”

Sheriff Lindsay Foulis said: “Users propagate the drug trade by buying them and selling some of their own supply.

“Sheriffs throughout the land are aware of the damage drugs can do.”

Two of Stewart’s eight months were added in after he committed the offence on bail.
