Crowds gather in Kenmore for vintage rally

COMPETITORS from across the UK and Ireland will descend on Kenmore this weekend for a top vintage car event.

The vehicles will gather in the village square and follow a 70-mile route during the Saltire Classic Rally.

Pitlochry pair Norman Campbell and Alistair Watt will be taking to the start line in their Sunbeam Alpine, and Neil Campbell and Mark Howitt – also from the Highland Perthshire town – will be competing in a Ford Escort.

Blairgowrie duo Raymond Rollo and Maurice Millar’s Ford Capri completes the local line-up.

Spectators have been asked to head to the Kenmore Hotel for a 9am start on Sunday.

Organisers anticipate competitors will return to the venue in time for a 5pm finish.
