THE latest Recreational Volleyball League games at Bell's Sports Centre finished with two Kinross teams at the top of the table.

It was the league leaders who started off on court one against Mary Cook's ever improving Aberfeldy side. John Booth's BB side won the first set fairly comfortably 25–9 but what a transformation by the Breadalbane bunch in set two.

Aberfeldy led from the off but the BB lads crept back to level things at 16 points each. The Kinross youngsters then had a run of six points which set them up for a 24–21 lead just as the final whistle sounded for time up.

Jamie Selvin's Hitting Bricks faced up to Satnum Ner's young Dunfermline side on court two. Lindsay Arnott and Elaine Henry starred for Bricks in their 25–18, 25–14 victory.

Aberfeldy were back on court one against Susan Scott's See Me, who kept their outside hopes of the championship alive with a 25–18, 5–16 win.

Dunfermline faced Jennifer MacKessack's Kinross BBGA youngsters on court two with the Fifers winning out 25–21, 25–16. BBGA then faced local rivals Scotrange II, who recorded a 25–12, 25–10 win.

Meanwhile on court two Kinross BB were hitting Bricks for seven as they stormed the first set 25–7. The second set also went to Kinross 25–16 to keep them top of the table.

See Me and Tay Pearls were involved in a close affair next with Anne Condliffe's Pearls edging the first set 25–22. See Me fought back to take the second set 25–15 to set up a third set decider with five minutes remaining. It couldn't have been any closer as the score finished 8–7 in See Me's favour to claim a valuable victory.

John Robertson's Motley Crew opened their Sunday games against Scotrange II but they were slow off the mark allowing the Kinross side a 25–12, 25–13 victory to keep them in second slot behind the BB.

Innes Penman's Rodney's Trotters played Hitting Bricks and Tay Pearls and it was two straight victories for Trotters to keep their outside hopes of the championship alive.

Claire Young's Mongrels lost to Scotrange by two sets to love but had a stormer of a game against Motley Crew, winning 26–24, 25–19.

6.15pm – Mental Blocks v Kintronics (Volleymixtures); Hitting Bricks v Scotrange (Dodgy Spikers).

7.00 – Volleymixtures v Dunfermline (Kintronics); Dodgy Spikers v Mental Blocks (Hitting Bricks).

7.45 – Dodgy Spikers v Hitting Bricks (Volleymixtures); Dunfermline v Scotrange (Kintronics).

8.30 – Volleymixtures v Scotrange (Hitting Bricks); Kintronics v Dunfermline (Mental Blocks).

9.15 – Volleymixtures v Hitting Bricks (Scotrange); Mental Blocks v Kintronics (Dunfermline).
