LIVESTOCK could be at risk of vitamin deficiency after a crook nabbed 42 buckets of feed supplement from a Perthshire farm.
The load of sheep and cattle mineral blocks – worth hundreds of pounds – were on a pallet that had been delivered but left unattended at the end of an access road to a farm at Calvine awaiting pick-up.
But before the dietary supplements could be collected, thieves stole the entire load sometime between 2.30pm last Friday and 3pm on Saturday.
The crooks, who would have required a van or heavy load-bearing vehicle, took all 42 buckets but left the pallet behind.
Police described the Highland Perthshire crime as unusual and are looking for any information that may help the investigation.
